Every prospective engagement begins with an intake triage review followed by an extended, standalone 90-minute comprehensive diagnostic assessment.

Prior to our initial meeting, you will complete clinical history inventories and upload relevant collateral records through our secure CharmHealth patient portal—including previous neuropsychological evaluations, recent laboratory panels, and outpatient pharmacy records. This first encounter is dedicated to carefully deconstructing your longitudinal developmental trajectory, prior pharmacologic and psychotherapeutic trials, and current symptom presentation to establish an accurate diagnostic formulation and collaborative treatment roadmap.

Because an independent outpatient practice has a defined clinical scope, this standalone consultation provides a deliberate space for both of us to determine whether our practice model is the appropriate clinical setting for your long-term needs. Participating in an initial diagnostic consultation does not establish an ongoing doctor-patient relationship.

If we mutually decide that ongoing collaboration serves your health best, we will formally execute our outpatient treatment agreement and initiate care. If an alternative care environment, intensive multidisciplinary program, or different clinical subspecialty would better support you, I will provide clear, objective recommendations to guide your next steps.

Consultative encounters are primarily conducted via secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth throughout the state of California.

• Telehealth: All clinical video visits utilize our encrypted, specialized electronic health records portal, providing a secure, accessible environment for diagnostic interviews, longitudinal psychopharmacology, and multidisciplinary care. Patients must be physically located within California at the time of the encounter.

• In-Person Assessments: For select complex evaluations where direct somatic observation or neurodevelopmental evaluation warrants an in-person setting, dedicated office or in-home consultations may be coordinated on an individualized basis within San Francisco and select Peninsula communities.

Professional fees are provided transparently upon initial clinical inquiry and prior to scheduling an evaluation. Because appointments range from comprehensive diagnostic assessments to targeted psychopharmacology, fees are reviewed during the preliminary intake consultation to match the anticipated clinical scope.

In accordance with the federal No Surprises Act, all prospective patients receive a formal written Good Faith Estimate (GFE) detailing predictable professional costs prior to initiating care.

• Out-of-Network Reimbursement: If you have a commercial PPO plan, you may be eligible for direct reimbursement. Following each completed visit, you may request an itemized, coding-compliant receipt (a Superbill) with standard CPT and ICD-10 codes generated in your secure portal for direct submission to your insurer.

• HSA / FSA Eligibility: Consultations and follow-up medical care may be eligible for Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Account (FSA) funds.
